The Wadhwani Foundation (WF) is a
not-for-profit organization established in 2000 by Silicon Valley entrepreneur Dr.
Romesh Wadhwani. Its primary mission is to accelerate economic development in
emerging economies by driving large-scale job creation through entrepreneurship,
innovation, and skills development.
Today, WF is scaling its impact across 25
countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, working with governments,
corporates, academic institutions, and ecosystem partners to deliver
sustainable employment and entrepreneurship outcomes.
Role Context
We are seeking a Business Leader with a
proven track record of driving large-scale skilling initiatives across India,
and successfully engaging with multiple stakeholders such as Government bodies,
Vocational Education & Skill Development institutes, and Employers.
The individual should demonstrate strong
capabilities in identifying, launching, and scaling new business opportunities
while ensuring tangible outcomes and outputs.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the national skilling initiative
end-to-end.
· Drive both the supply & demand side
of the skilling ecosystem at scale.
· Expand and nurture existing as well as
new accounts.
· Ensure beneficiary outcomes and outputs
are met consistently.
· Identify, design, and implement tech-enabled
business models.
· Build and manage high-performing teams
with strong leadership skills.
· Establish and nurture networks of
employers, trainers, and mentors to strengthen the ecosystem.
Skills & Experience
Required
· 10–15 years of experience in B2C,
education, or skilling ecosystem.
· Deep understanding of the Vocational
Training Providers (VTP)/Vocational Training Institutes (VTI) ecosystem and experience
working with government agencies.
· Strong business acumen, strategic &
innovative thinking, and analytical rigor.
· Demonstrated ability in data analytics,
attention to detail, and outcome measurement.
· Proven ability to leverage technology
platforms and digital tools for scale.
· Strong business development and account
management skills.
· Ability to make decisions in ambiguous
environments with a strong sense of urgency.
· Demonstrated skills in complex problem
solving and decision-making trade-offs.
· Excellent team management and ability to
drive teams toward objectives.
· Open to extensive travel across the
country.
· Solid academic background.
