Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end manual UI testing for a Java-based pricing solution in the retail domain, ensuring high-quality user experience across multiple workflows.
- Analyze business and functional requirements to define acceptance criteria and design detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Execute functional, regression, and UI/UX testing across multiple browsers and devices to ensure visual and functional consistency.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners within Agile sprints to validate new features and identify issues early.
- Document and maintain test artifacts (test cases, test results, regression suites).
- Log, track, and manage defects using standard defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution with the development team.
- Provide estimates on test effort for planned features and releases.
- Contribute to process improvement and best practices in testing.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools/scripting is a plus, with openness to learning and contributing to automation efforts over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 3–4 years of experience in manual UI/functional testing.
- Hands-on experience in cross-browser/device testing.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Good understanding of software QA methodologies and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
