Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all import/export shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping, customs, and export documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, LC, BL/AWB, COO).
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transporters, and government authorities.
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively address delays or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international laws and trade regulations.
- Handle HS code classification, duties/tariffs, and other customs formalities.
- Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions for audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments like procurement, finance, and warehouse for smooth logistics.
- Manage letters of credit (LC), advance payments, and other trade finance documents.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations, sanctions, and free trade agreements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- [2–5]+ years of experience in import/export operations (depending on role level).
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs clearance, documentation, and trade compliance.
- Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and shipping portals is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and tight deadlines.
Preferred:
- Certification in International Trade (e.g., EXIM certification, FIATA, etc.).
- Experience with DG (dangerous goods), bulk shipping, or air/sea freight operations.
