Job Summary: The Steward – F&B Service is responsible for providing exceptional guest service in the restaurant, banquet, bar, or other dining areas. The role involves ensuring prompt and efficient food & beverage service, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, explain menu items, and take food & beverage orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct portions and presentation.
- Clear tables, reset for next guests, and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
- Provide recommendations for food and beverage pairings when required.
- Ensure timely refilling of water, beverages, and bread baskets.
- Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety guidelines as per hotel standards.
- Handle crockery, cutlery, and glassware carefully to avoid breakages.
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas.
- Teamwork & Coordination Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely order delivery.
- Assist fellow team members during peak service hours.
- Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the kitchen/bar.
- Upselling & Revenue Generation Promote special dishes, promotions, and events to guests.
- Suggest upselling options such as premium beverages, desserts, and combo meals.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Pleasant personality and guest-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or certificate in hotel management or F&B service (preferred).
- 0–2 years of experience in F&B service; freshers can be trained.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Carry trays and serve food & beverages safely.
Work Environment:
- Restaurants, banquets, bars, coffee shops, and other hotel dining outlets.
- Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
