We are looking for a talented and self-driven Associate DevOps Engineer with 1-2 years of experience. As a DevOps engineer you will manage deployments, improve system reliability, and automate our infrastructure. The role will also involve developing improved CI/CD workflows and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to help mPokket achieve its mission.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and other related tools to streamline development workflows and automate deployment processes.- Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD issues, ensuring fast and reliable deployment of applications.
- Automate routine tasks such as system updates, backups, and deployments to improve operational efficiency.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Ensure Kubernetes clusters are appropriately managed, optimised, and highly available, with automated scaling and self-healing mechanisms..
- Set up, configure, and maintain Datadog and CloudWatch for comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis across infrastructure and applications.
- Implement log management solutions to capture and analyse logs, troubleshoot production issues, and optimise system performance
- Provide critical support in troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments related to infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments, as well as on-call support for escalated off-hours issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely resolution of issues and minimal downtime.- Use tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product, and security teams to understand requirements and ensure infrastructure and deployment processes align with business needs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's or Master's.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Experience managing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, including configuring, scaling, and troubleshooting them in a production environment.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, or other monitoring tools to set up alerts and ensure system reliability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, specifically Amazon EKS for container management, EC2, S3, Lambda.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is advantageous.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues related to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production systems efficiently.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
