Tandoor Chef Job Responsibilities
A Tandoor Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking food using a traditional tandoor (clay oven). Below are the key responsibilities:
1. Tandoor Cooking & Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes such as naan, roti, kebabs, tandoori chicken, and seafood.
- Ensure proper marination and seasoning of meats, vegetables, and other dishes using traditional Indian spices.
- Monitor and control the tandoor temperature to achieve the perfect cooking results.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards.
2. Kitchen Operations & Equipment Handling:
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven efficiently and safely.
- Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of tandoor equipment.
- Manage the storage and preparation of tandoori ingredients to prevent wastage.
- Work with other chefs to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
3. Hygiene & Safety Compliance:
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure safe use of kitchen tools and equipment to avoid accidents.
4. Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor and manage stock levels of tandoori ingredients and supplies.
- Assist in ordering and receiving necessary ingredients.
- Ensure minimal food wastage through efficient portioning and storage.
5. Menu Innovation & Teamwork:
- Suggest and develop new tandoori dishes to enhance the restaurant’s menu.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff on tandoori cooking techniques.
- Work as a team player and support other chefs during busy service hours.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
