Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager/Senior Proofreader!
The Senior Proofreader plays a critical role in the execution of the Proofreading team’s tasks. The Senior Proofreader works directly with the Proofreading Manager and team to ensure quality and accuracy of member-facing projects in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Ensures all member-facing communications are clear, accurate, and free of grammatical, mathematical, typographical and compositional errors.
Proofreads, reviews and edits documents for accurate use of grammar and content.
Corrects any grammatical, spelling, typographical or compositional errors in original copy.
Communicates clearly and professionally both internally with fellow Proofreaders, and externally with project managers, copywriters and designers as needed.
Easily switches gears to proofread all mediums and channels.
Provides support for the Proofreading Manager as needed.
Understanding of corporate branding and tone of voice.
Helps maintain style guide and style decisions.
Detail oriented.
Organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Problem-solving skills.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with Relevant/Significant years of experience working as editor/proofreader.
Proficiency in American English language is essential.
Excellent English language editing skills—hands-on experience of editing and proof-reading content is essential.
Experience with AP Style and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Excellent Communication skills – Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
