The Opportunity:
Pentoz is looking for an experienced SAP PS (Project Systems) Expert to join our remote SAP delivery team. This role is ideal for professionals who specialize in end-to-end project lifecycle management within the SAP ecosystem and can support industries such as engineering, construction, manufacturing, defense, and utilities. As an SAP PS expert, you will help organizations plan, execute, and control complex projects by designing robust SAP project management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP PS implementations, configurations, and upgrades to support project planning, budgeting, execution, and cost control
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design documents
- Configure SAP PS structures including WBS elements, networks, activities, milestones, and cost planning profiles
- Integrate SAP PS with related modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP
- Enable resource planning, procurement integration, billing schedules, and project settlements
- Manage project budgeting, availability control, and financial reporting within SAP
- Conduct system testing, prepare training materials, and deliver user training sessions
- Provide post-implementation support and ongoing enhancement of project systems functionality
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams in an Agile or waterfall project environment
- Guide project teams on project lifecycle best practices using SAP PS tools
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) module
- Deep understanding of project structuring, network planning, cost planning, budgeting, and revenue planning
- Experience with SAP PS integration to Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Expertise in customizing project profiles, cost elements, progress analysis, and settlement rules
- Strong skills in documentation, testing, and stakeholder communication
- Ability to work independently on client-facing projects and manage remote collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in S/4HANA Project Systems configuration and Fiori-based reporting
- SAP PS certification or equivalent training
- Understanding of industry-specific project templates (e.g., AUC in construction, R&D projects in pharma)
- Exposure to SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM), SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM), or integration with MS Project
- Experience in timewriting tools, billing plans, and third-party resource cost management
- Familiarity with project-related compliance and audit requirements
