The Opportunity:
Pentoz is seeking a skilled and experienced SAP EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Consultant to support and lead initiatives related to regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and environmental risk management. As a remote SAP EHS expert, you will play a critical role in implementing and enhancing SAP EHS modules across industries such as chemicals, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, energy, and logistics.
You will work with business and technical stakeholders to design solutions that align with sustainability, safety, and operational efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead implementation and configuration of SAP EHS modules, including Product Safety, Dangerous Goods Management, Industrial Hygiene and Safety, Waste Management, and Occupational Health
- Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional SAP EHS solutions
- Ensure compliance with regional and global regulations such as REACH, OSHA, GHS, and other environmental and health standards
- Design and implement workflows for incident management, risk assessments, compliance reporting, and safety audits
- Develop and maintain specification databases, safety data sheets (SDS), and labeling formats
- Integrate SAP EHS with core modules like MM, PP, QM, and PM for end-to-end process visibility
- Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and training to business users and technical teams
- Monitor system performance, manage data consistency, and support audits and inspections
- Create functional documentation and user training materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to enterprise sustainability initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP EHS module configuration and implementation
- Deep knowledge of SAP EHS subcomponents such as Product Safety, DG Management, Industrial Hygiene, and Occupational Health
- Strong understanding of global environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices
- Experience with EHS workflows, specification management, and data migration
- Familiarity with integration between EHS and SAP MM, QM, PM, and PP modules
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Information Systems, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP EHS certification or formal training
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as chemicals, oil & gas, or pharmaceuticals
- Knowledge of S/4HANA EHS architecture and migration projects
- Exposure to SAP Sustainability Control Tower or Product Footprint Management
- Background in compliance auditing, environmental reporting, or industrial safety consulting
