The Opportunity:
Pentoz is seeking an experienced SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) Expert to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality SAP PM implementations and support services to clients across industries such as manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, and infrastructure. You will work closely with operations and IT teams to design, configure, and optimize asset maintenance processes and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and support of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module
- Design and deploy solutions for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance workflows
- Define equipment hierarchies, functional locations, work centers, task lists, maintenance plans, and notifications
- Collaborate with operations teams to gather business requirements and translate them into SAP PM configurations
- Manage integration with other SAP modules such as MM (Material Management), QM (Quality Management), and CO (Controlling)
- Develop custom reports, KPIs, and dashboards for maintenance performance tracking and compliance
- Support data migration and system testing including UAT, cutover, and go-live activities
- Train key users and maintenance personnel on system functionality and best practices
- Monitor ongoing system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements
- Ensure that maintenance master data is accurate, standardized, and aligned with corporate asset strategies
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with SAP PM implementations and support
- Strong knowledge of SAP PM master data and transactional processes (notifications, orders, confirmations, etc.)
- Experience configuring maintenance planning, calibration, inspection, and breakdown maintenance scenarios
- Understanding of plant operations, asset management principles, and EAM best practices
- Proven track record of working on SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA projects
- Experience integrating SAP PM with mobile solutions, IoT, or GIS tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Maintenance & Repair certification
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to plant maintenance
- Familiarity with PM-WCM (Work Clearance Management) or Linear Asset Management
- Knowledge of industry-specific PM enhancements (e.g., Utilities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing)
- Background in reliability engineering, TPM, or condition-based maintenance programs
