Repair and maintenance Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Repairs:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize operational disruption.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical assistance to junior operators and technicians.
• Support new equipment installation and commissioning.
• Suggest improvements for equipment reliability and performance.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, downtime, and repairs in logbooks or CMMS.
• Report critical equipment failures and raise requisitions for spare parts.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to plant safety standards and protocols during maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of machines for compliance and risk identification.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory and tools.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of maintenance materials.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in Kaizen, TPM, or 5S activities.
• Recommend changes for energy efficiency and cost reduction in maintenance processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Proficient in reading technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, conveyors, compressors, pumps, etc.
• Ability to handle emergency breakdowns under pressure
• Team leadership and mentoring ability
• Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
• Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
