Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry and Uniform Attendant with basic tailoring/stitching skills to join our team. This role is responsible for the efficient cleaning, pressing, and distribution of staff uniforms and F & B laundry, as well as performing minor repairs and alterations to uniforms and linens as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Laundry & Uniform Duties:
- Sort laundry including uniforms, linens.
- Inspect garments and linens for damage or stains and take appropriate action.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area.
- Ensure all items are correctly labeled and returned to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Maintain inventory of uniforms and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Issue and collect uniforms in accordance with company policies.
Stitching & Repair:
- Perform minor stitching and alterations on uniforms and linens (e.g., hemming, button replacement, zipper repair, patching).
- Assist in sizing and fitting of uniforms for new staff members.
- Ensure all repaired garments meet quality standards before redistribution.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting.
- Basic sewing and tailoring skills (hand and machine stitching).
- Knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate washing/repair techniques.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for long periods.
- Basic inventory management knowledge is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
