Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our hospital. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a warm demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and helpful manner
- Handle incoming phone calls, route them appropriately, and take messages when needed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment calendar
- Register patients, verify insurance details, and collect necessary documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with various hospital departments for smooth patient flow
- Manage the front desk area, ensure cleanliness and availability of necessary materials
- Handle billing queries or direct them to the billing department
- Maintain daily logs, visitor records, and patient intake forms
- Respond to general inquiries regarding hospital services, hours, and procedures
