Results-driven, service minded and confident Financial Controller to manage and improve the organisation’s financial performance and direct accounting operations. Duties lie within the range of Financial Reporting, Controlling and Consolidation activities.

- Responsible for the controllership, working with business and financial stakeholders to ensure integrity of the numbers. Specific areas of responsibility as below:
- Financial Reporting: Ensure that monthly internal financial reporting is accomplished timely and accurately, in line with relevant accounting standards
- Financials Review/Controlling:
- Perform monthly review of Financials to ensure quality of reported numbers
- Perform monthly review of commentaries
- Perform analysis of the specific areas assigned (eg: revenue, cost, intercompany, fixed assets etc)
- Provide input to management report (consolidate input, prepare power point and monthly controlling checklist, with commentary)
- Provide input to performance review and support as requested
- Ensure adequate support to the business partners as requested
- Ensure adequate control by doing Impero controls assigned.
- Prepare schedules and gather requested documents necessary to assist external accountants with the audit and tax return preparation.
- Be involved in other accounting/finance projects and work on tasks as assigned. Including preparing accounting memos, lead or support of continuous process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc support of management reporting.
- Measure actuals obtained and flag variances through proper controlling.
- Facilitate operational service delivery meetings Supporting Recort to Report process
- Liaise with all GBS employees
- Post reporting follow-up to ensure action items are resolved before the next month end
- Audit support - Assist with Audit queries and support ensuring timely documentation and submission of audit requests
What are we looking for?
- Educational background: Minimum bachelor degree in finance or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years
- 5+ years of experience with financial reporting or controlling or related business
- Strong knowledge in working with financial books/financial controlling in Financial Consolidation System
- Experience in working in international environments (preferably experience from SSC setup)
- Good understanding and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Ability to translate the standards into guidelines for the accounting team
- Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required – Minimum level B2
- In depth knowledge of Finance processes and policies and full ability to apply these in the daily work
- Ability to interpret, analyse and communicate financial information concisely
- Technical skills:
- Qualified in Finance & Accounting signifying in depth knowledge and solid overview of the finance function
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to structure and follow up on assignments
- Proven managerial experience from similar type job
- Preferably knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP Hana
- Advanced skills in Excel (Macros, modelling, pivot tables, and lookups) and Power Point
- Strong customer service skills
