The F&B Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. She is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations, escorting guests to their tables, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to seating. The hostess also supports smooth communication between the front and back-of-house teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Maintain an organized reservation system and manage walk-ins efficiently.
- Escort guests to assigned tables, providing menus and introducing the assigned server.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the hostess desk and surrounding area.
- Answer phone calls related to reservations, inquiries, or service issues.
- Manage waiting lists during busy hours and provide accurate wait-time estimates.
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure guest satisfaction and seating efficiency.
- Provide support in handling guest complaints politely and efficiently.
- Upsell restaurant promotions and special events where applicable.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu and ongoing promotions to assist guests.
