Job Summary:
Chemmanur International Holidays & Resort Ltd. is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Commis (I/II/III) to join our culinary team at our Thekkady location. The ideal candidates will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and ensure high-quality standards in food service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs in food preparation as per standard recipes.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas and equipment.
- Follow proper food storage, rotation, and safety protocols.
- Support senior kitchen staff in mise en place and daily operations.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Learn and adhere to all company standards and procedures.
- Manage basic cooking tasks independently (for Commis I & II).
- Assist in receiving and stocking kitchen supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 10th standard pass; Hotel Management diploma/certification preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in a kitchen/culinary role (depending on Commis level).
- Basic knowledge of Indian and continental cuisines preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends.
