We're looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef who shares our enthusiasm for creating delicious main dishes that keep our guests coming back for more. As a Commis Chef, you'll work closely with our experienced culinary team to assist in the preparation and cooking of our signature burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and fried chicken dishes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and develop your skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the kitchen team in preparing and cooking main dishes, including burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and fried chicken, according to established recipes and standards.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure efficient production and timely service of main dishes during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist with the receiving, storing, and rotating of ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and quality.
- Learn and execute basic cooking techniques, such as grilling burger patties, assembling sandwiches, wrapping wraps, and frying chicken, with precision and consistency.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and minimize waste, while adhering to portion control guidelines.
- Take direction from senior kitchen staff and actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in all areas of the kitchen.
