The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts based on technical drawings and specifications. The operator ensures machine efficiency, monitors quality standards, and performs routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., milling, lathe, router, grinder) according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load raw materials and prepare tools for machining processes.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for quality, using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control staff to resolve issues.
