Role Summary:
The Supervisor shall oversee the Tripple Offset Butterfly Valves manufacturing process for machining, assembly and testing as per reference standards and work instructions. Testing shall be carried out as per ITP/reference standards to meet customer requirements. (Seat leak, Assembled hydro, Fugitive Emission, Vacuum test, Cryo test and any additional test) .
Responsibilities:
- Work with application engineering to understand the customer requirements.
- Review customer requirements, valve data sheet/specification sheet, inspection test plan and testing requirements.
- Review, machining capabilities of valve components, work with other departments to smooth flow of machining process.
- Review and identify potential risks of assembly process and work with concerned departments to ensure the actions are in place to eliminate recurrence.
- Ensure all the tools, fixtures, and equipment are available for machining, assembly and testing and all are in good condition with required documents.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to address issues and improve processes.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure valves meet quality requirements and identify any defects.
- Identifying and resolving any issues that arise during assembly, such as mechanical problems or deviations from specifications.
- Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintaining accurate records of production, employee performance, and inventory.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Identifying and implementing changes to improve assembly efficiency and quality.
- Preparation of assembly guidelines, lifting procedures and testing procedures.
- Interface with supplier, customer and third-party during manufacturing, assembly and testing.
- Carrying out root cause analysis and A3 problem solving for recurrence issues
Requirement:
- Min 6years of experience with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and other departments.
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft office package, Oracle ERP/SAP
- Knowledge of ASME/ANSI/MSS/API standards and CE/PED requirements.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic fittings, hand tools & special tools
- Ability to interpret the pneumatic/hydraulic schematic and circuits.
- Ability to handle customer/auditor queries, QMS audits.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of 5S and tool management.
- Knowledge of Hydro testing of valve components
- Strong knowledge in Positioner, Solenoid valve, Pilot valve, Limit switch.
- Different types of actuators, Pneumatic valves and accessories.
