- Patient Support & Advocacy:Providing ongoing support to patients and their families, developing individualized care plans, and helping them understand and navigate their medical conditions and treatment options.
- Program Management:Overseeing therapy and patient support programs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and providing guidance to counseling staff.
- Healthcare Coordination:Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensuring all patient-related activities, documentation, and programs adhere to healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records and progress reports.
- Patient Education:Informing patients about their conditions, treatment procedures, and healthy coping mechanisms.
- Leadership & Development:Supervising and supporting counseling teams, and conducting professional development for staff.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Education:A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience:A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a therapeutic, counseling, or healthcare support setting.
- Licensure/Certification:Required state-specific licensure or certification in a relevant healthcare discipline.
- Communication:Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Collaboration:Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in patient record-keeping and familiarity with medical practice management software is often required.
- Clinical Knowledge:Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical practices, and current research in healthcare and mental health
