- Receive signed customers from Sales and confirm scope, timelines, and success criteria.
- Create and communicate the onboarding plan (milestones, owners, deadlines).
- Collect required documents/data, verify completeness, and coordinate any missing items.
- Configure accounts, set up access/permissions, and ensure initial product/service settings are correct.
- Conduct kickoff calls, demos, and training sessions for all relevant stakeholders.
- Guide customers through first-use/implementation steps; monitor progress and unblock issues quickly.
- Track onboarding metrics (time-to-launch, adoption milestones) and share status updates internally and with the client.
- Document FAQs, how-tos, and process notes; hand over clear documentation to the customer.
- Escalate product, technical, or policy issues to the right internal teams and follow through to resolution.
- Gather customer feedback during onboarding and relay insights to Product, Sales, and Support for continuous improvement.
- Ensure a smooth transition to the long-term account manager / customer success team once onboarding goals are met.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM/project tools and close onboarding tasks with a formal sign-off.
