Organization: The Organisation Harley’s Fine Baking (https://www.harleys.com/), is a European style patisserie (premium cake selling company) created by an IIM professor to disrupt the cake and coffee market, established to spread bonafide taste of the streets of Manhattan across the world. Brought into the world from a love for baking, the desire to create a meeting place that serves delicious food with a warm rustic environment. The Organization offers a full scope of Breads, morning merchandise, cakes, baked and savoury goods. Currently the team size is of about 200 people with more than 15 outlets across Hyderabad, along with a plan of opening 100 new outlets across Mumbai, Goa, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai scaling up to 1000 people over the next year.
Designation: Chef de Partie (Continental Cuisine) - Premium Cake & Café Lounge
Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Continental CDP (Chef de Partie) in hotels, premium bakeries, or fine dining establishments.
Job Profile: As a CDP (Continental Chef), you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, preparing high-quality continental dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation, and mentoring junior staff. You will collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain food standards, optimize kitchen operations, and support menu innovation aligned with Harley’s Fine Baking’s premium brand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute continental dishes as per recipes and standards.
- Supervise and guide commis and junior chefs in daily operations.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
- Manage inventory, reduce wastage, and optimize food costs.
- Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Support menu development with innovative continental recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned section.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of continental cuisine (soups, salads, grills, sauces, pasta, etc.).
- Expertise in kitchen operations and food plating standards.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP guidelines, and portion control.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-paced kitchen environment.
- Team management and mentoring skills.
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to fusion cuisine and gourmet plating techniques.
- Knowledge of bakery-café style menus and pairings.
- Familiarity with inventory software/ERP for kitchen operations.
