Job Purpose:
- To oversee all warehouse operations for a chemical and floor cleaning products manufacturing company, ensuring efficient inventory management, safe storage of chemicals, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with safety regulations while maintaining optimal productivity and accuracy.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping
- Implement and maintain warehouse layout optimization for chemical safety and operational efficiency
- Ensure proper segregation and storage of chemicals according to compatibility and hazard classification
- Monitor warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues
- Oversee inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished products
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations
- Implement proper FIFO inventory rotation for chemical products with shelf-life considerations
- Coordinate with production and procurement departments to ensure material availability
- Manage, train, and develop warehouse staff (typically 5-10 team members)
- Schedule staff according to operational demands
- Ensure staff adherence to safety protocols for handling chemical products
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans
- Enforce strict compliance with chemical handling protocols, OSHA regulations, and GHS standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for chemical inventory as per regulatory requirements
- Implement spill prevention and response procedures
- Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment
- Coordinate with logistics providers for efficient transportation
- Manage documentation for shipping hazardous materials
- Resolve delivery issues and discrepancies
Required Skills:
- Graduation / Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 2-5 years of warehouse experience / Dispatch experience in a supervisory role
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) (OR) Inventory management systems (OR) Warehouse management software
Preferred Skills:
- HAZMAT handling certification and understanding of chemical safety protocols
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory control software
- Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to chemical storage and handling
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of GHS (Globally Harmonized System) for chemical classification and labelling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
