Waqf Board Land & Leasehold Conversion Expert Needed – Punjab (Kapurthala/Chandigarh)
We are looking for a land affairs/legal professional with experience in Waqf Board property in Punjab, especially in the Kapurthala and Chandigarh regions.
Our family has leased Waqf Board land since 1975 in Village Buhi, Tehsil & District Kapurthala, and we require assistance with the following:
- Reviewing old Waqf lease documents and validating land ownership rights
- Verifying khasra numbers and boundaries via Fard/Jamabandi records
- Investigating land area discrepancies and any encroachments
- Understanding the process and legal pathways to convert leasehold into freehold
- Preparing formal letters, RTIs, and representations to the Waqf Board, Tehsildar, and Patwari
- Guiding us through any necessary legal actions or regularisation processes
Ideal Candidate:
- Advocate or retired revenue/land records officer
- Strong knowledge of Waqf Act, land disputes, and Punjab leasehold-to-freehold conversion rules
- Practical experience dealing with Waqf Board and local land authorities
