The Welder will be responsible for cutting, fitting, and welding various metal components to construct or repair metal structures, machinery, and equipment. The role involves working with a variety of tools and welding equipment while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Job description:
- Perform welding operations using methods such as MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Cut and shape metal components as required.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure tools are in safe working condition.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Make adjustments or repairs as needed to achieve desired results.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify potential hazards and take corrective action to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Communicate progress and any issues encountered during the welding process.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC, etc.).
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy and materials science.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI/Diploma/B.E any specialisation.
- 4+ years of experience in Welder
