As a Technical Project Manager III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Team, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. Applying a broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential to developing innovative solutions, along with leveraging analytical reasoning and adaptability skills to navigate through ambiguity and change. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. By optimizing resources and managing risks, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects that shape the future of the firm.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
- Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle
- Establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
- Perform on-going optimization analysis and develop plans to assist in additional cost reduction initiatives across your assigned portfolios.
- Support the annual Infra Planning exercise by capturing, pricing, and scheduling new investment, capacity growth, tech refresh, DC exit, app retirements.
- Oversee the execution of the resulting project portfolio, pushing for on-time starts and prompt completions.
Liaise with AD teams, CBTs, Solution Architects, PMs, DBAs, SAs, Finance, Estate Managers etc. to ensure successful project deliveries
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
- Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle management, including influencing decision makers and adapting to changes as business needs evolve
- Good understanding of technology infrastructure (distributed and cloud), and cost management.
- Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations
- Hands-on attitude with focus on excelling on assigned objectives and being results driven.
- Reliable, assertive, and having an independent work attitude.
- Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in coding with python, terraform and understanding of CICD pipelines
