Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services for substation projects.
- Project Analysis: Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop accurate and complete estimates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities within the estimating process to inform decision-making.
- Data Management: Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating tools to reflect current market conditions and project learnings.
- Site Visits: Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior estimators and team members, fostering professional development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Only Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years in substation or switchyard estimating, with a strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and construction practices.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Primavera, Bluebeam) and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Request to share the Required Profile for shortlisting.
