Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Responsible for the purchase of switchgear, control systems, electrical components, and associated materials.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery time, and terms of trade.
- Issue purchase orders, track order fulfilment, and ensure materials are received on time.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate pricing, discounts, and terms.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and assessments for performance, quality, and reliability.
- Resolve any issues related to damaged or non-conforming materials.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and place orders accordingly to avoid production delays.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and product availability.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier communications, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and savings.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Cost Control and Budget Management:
- Support the purchase manager in ensuring procurement activities stay within the approved budget.
- Analyse market trends, cost variations, and recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate with design, production, and engineering teams to understand requirements and specifications for purchasing.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production deadlines.
Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure all purchases comply with company standards and specifications.
- Ensure the timely inspection of materials on arrival to verify the quality and quantity before acceptance.

- Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Post-graduate qualifications in Supply Chain Management/Procurement are a plus. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the switchgear, electrical, or industrial equipment sector.
- Strong understanding of the supply chain, vendor management, and purchase processes.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite SAP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
