Job Summary
As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a combination of technical skills and physical labor.
Duties
- Assist in the installation of solar panels on roofs or ground mounts
- Connect solar panels to electrical systems following schematics and blueprints
- Install mounting hardware and racking systems
- Perform quality checks on installed equipment
- Assist with electrical wiring and connections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- Experience as a commercial electrician is preferred
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to operate a forklift for material handling
- Proficiency in using a voltmeter for electrical testing
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Skills in fixture installation, plumbing, and working on roofs are advantageous
