Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, integrity, and security while supporting development and operational teams with database-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and tools.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Perform regular backups and recovery operations using RMAN or other tools.
- Manage database security, user access, and roles.
- Implement and maintain high availability solutions (e.g., Oracle RAC, Data Guard).
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Automate routine tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, or other tools.
- Support development teams with SQL query optimization and schema design.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Oracle 12c/19c or later versions.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and Shell scripting.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Understanding of database security and auditing practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Experience with cloud-based Oracle databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Exposure to other database platforms (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
