The Role
StarRez, Inc. is looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join our Business Systems team and own the day-to-day configuration, optimization, and maintenance of our Salesforce environment. This role is critical in supporting our GTM (Go-to-Market) Team including Sales, Marketing, as well as Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support.
While technical proficiency is essential, we’re also looking for someone with strong communication skills and a natural curiosity. Our ideal candidate isn’t just satisfied with implementing an enhancement to the system, but wants to understand the “why” behind the request, and how it connects with broader business systems and outcomes.
What You Will Own
- Serve as an administrator for our Salesforce environment (Sales Cloud + integrated apps)
- Manage user setup, roles, profiles, permissions, and data visibility across teams
- Manage Salesforce metadata configuration: workflows, automation (Flows), fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, etc.
- Configure and maintain Salesforce automation and functionality, including flows, process builders, triggers, page layouts, fields, data security, etc.
- Configure and maintain CPQ functionality, including Advanced Approvals, Price Rules, Product Rules, and Bundles
- Work cross-functionally with RevOps, Marketing, Customer Success, Workplace Technology, and others to gather requirements and implement solutions that improve process efficiency
- Maintain data integrity through audits, reports, and deduplication strategies
- Efficiently roll out new features through proper Change Set methodology
- Support Salesforce integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Gong, HubSpot, Conga Composer / Conga Sign, etc.)
- Monitor system performance and resolve bugs, technical issues, or bottlenecks
- Document changes, best practices, and procedures in internal wikis and Confluence (Jira)
- Provide internal support and training to Salesforce users
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of Salesforce Administration experience in a fast-paced environment
- Salesforce Administrator Certification required (Advanced Admin or Platform App Builder a plus)
- Solid understanding of Salesforce best practices, automation tools (especially Flows), custom objects, metadata, etc.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills — ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Curiosity for and interest in the “why” of system architecture rather than simply the “what”
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and ticketing workflows
- Experience with managed package evaluations, testing, and implementation
- Appreciation of well-crafted systems and data architecture; enjoyment in building Salesforce into an incredibly helpful tool
- Proficient in standard office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Administrator certification
- Experience integrating external platforms into Salesforce.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
- Data-driven mindset
