Experience: 5–10 years in steel trading and related markets
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Steel Trader with strong expertise in sales and marketing of CRC, HRC, Galvanised Steel, Long Products, Semi-Finished Steel, and other steel products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both domestic and international steel markets, with proven experience in import and export operations.
This role demands a proactive, business-oriented personality with strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to develop and maintain high-value client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies for CRC, HRC, Galvanised Steel, Long Products, Semi-Finished Steel, and other steel products.
Identify, source, and manage steel supply opportunities from domestic and international markets.
Handle import and export documentation, contracts, and compliance procedures.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and trade partners.
Conduct market research and data analysis to identify new opportunities, price trends, and competitive activities.
Negotiate commercial terms and close profitable deals.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining high client satisfaction.
Coordinate with logistics, finance, and operations teams for smooth order execution.
Stay updated with steel market developments, government policies, and global trade trends.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Business, or Engineering (Metallurgy/Mechanical preferred).
5–10 years of proven experience in steel trading or sales, covering multiple steel products.
In-depth knowledge of steel grades, specifications, and industry standards.
Strong understanding of import/export trade, incoterms, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.
Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret market trends and pricing.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Proactive, target-driven, and self-motivated with a “go-getter” attitude.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical/reporting tools.
Ability to work independently and manage business across multiple geographies.

Pay: ₹125,000.00 - ₹166,000.00 per month
