Job Title: Jewellery Sales Executive
Department: Sales / Showroom Operations

Reporting to: Showroom Manager / Sales Head
Role Overview:
The Jewellery Sales Executive is responsible for assisting customers in selecting jewellery, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales targets. The role demands strong product knowledge, a pleasant personality, and the ability to build trust with customers—especially in high-value transactions like gold, diamond, and bridal jewellery.
Key Responsibilities:1. Customer Handling
- Greet customers and understand their preferences and requirements.
- Assist customers in selecting jewellery pieces based on occasion, budget, and taste.
- Offer detailed product explanations (weight, purity, price, design origin).
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints politely and effectively.
2. Sales & Conversion
- Suggest appropriate pieces and upsell/cross-sell where suitable.
- Convert walk-in customers into buyers through strong persuasion and relationship-building.
- Meet or exceed daily/monthly sales targets.
3. Product Knowledge
- Maintain deep knowledge of gold, silver, diamond, and other jewellery items.
- Explain karat, hallmarking, making charges, wastage, and pricing components.
- Stay updated on seasonal collections, bridal sets, offers, and trends.
4. Billing & Documentation
- Coordinate with the cashier for billing, exchange, and return procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of every sale (invoice, warranty card, KYC if required).
- Verify customer IDs for high-value purchases as per compliance rules.
5. Visual Merchandising
- Ensure display counters are clean, attractive, and well-stocked.
- Rotate and arrange jewellery items based on current promotions or seasons.
- Assist in stock-taking and tagging of jewellery.
6. Relationship Building
- Build long-term relationships with customers for repeat business.
- Follow up with bridal and premium customers post-purchase.
- Collect feedback and maintain a customer database (CRM).
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification: 12th pass / Diploma / Graduate
- Language: Fluent Tamil, Basic English
- Experience: 1–3 years in jewellery/retail sales preferred
- Pleasant personality and confident in face-to-face customer interaction
- Basic math skills for calculating weights, prices, and discounts
