Qualification: B.Sc / B.E (Fire & safery ) / PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Safety Executive / Officer to oversee and maintain workplace safety standards in our Gandhidham-based steel plant. The role involves conducting safety audits, risk assessments, safety training, and ensuring strict compliance with statutory and plant-specific safety norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular plant safety inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures in line with legal requirements.
- Organize safety induction and refresher training for staff and contractors.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain safety-related records, checklists, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Gujarat Factories Rules and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate with various departments to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of industrial safety standards in steel manufacturing.
- Ability to conduct safety training sessions effectively.
- Proficiency in incident reporting and root cause analysis.
- Good knowledge of statutory compliance and documentation.
