Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer Intern (Manual Testing) to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an ideal opportunity for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience, eager to build a career in software testing. The intern will work on real-world projects under the guidance of experienced QA professionals and gain exposure to manual and automation testing practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute manual test cases based on functional specifications
- Identify, report, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
- Validate backend data using basic SQL queries
- Conduct basic API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Support automation testing initiatives (basic knowledge preferred)
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings
- Collaborate with product and development teams for clarity on requirements
- Document test cases, results, and QA reports
- Required Skills & Traits
- Basic knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and test types (Smoke, Regression, Functional)
- Familiarity with manual testing practices
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium (added advantage)
- Understanding of bug tracking and documentation tools
- Analytical thinking and a user-first testing mindset
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- Academic/project exposure to QA methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with scripting or programming in Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus
Internship Duration : 6 Months [Performance will be evaluated upon completion of the internship period. Based on the evaluation, a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) may be extended]
Stipend : 5,000 - 7,000/month
