- Pre-operative preparation:Setting up the OT, including arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Sterilization and maintenance:Sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment, following strict protocols.
- Assisting during surgery:Passing instruments to the surgeon, assisting with patient positioning, and monitoring vital signs during the procedure.
- Post-operative care:Cleaning and preparing the OT for the next procedure, ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
- Patient care:Preparing patients for surgery, monitoring their vitals, and providing support during the procedure.
- Communication and coordination:Communicating with the surgical team, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.
- Equipment management:Maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of surgical equipment.
