Key Responsibilities:Pre-Operative Duties:
- Prepare the OT with required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before surgery.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent as per hospital protocols.
- Ensure pre-operative checklist completion.
- Assist anesthetist in preparing patients for anesthesia.
Intra-Operative Duties:
- Act as scrub nurse or circulating nurse as per duty roster.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and handling surgical supplies.
- Monitor patient vitals and condition during the procedure.
- Maintain accurate surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments).
Post-Operative Duties:
- Assist in safe transfer of patients to the recovery room/ICU.
- Provide immediate post-operative care.
- Document surgical notes, nursing records, and reports accurately.
- Ensure decontamination, sterilization, and proper disposal of bio-medical waste.
