Job Summary:
The Hospital Nursing Tutor is responsible for providing clinical instruction, hands-on training, and educational support to nursing students and hospital nursing staff. This role bridges theoretical nursing knowledge with practical clinical application to ensure high standards of patient care and professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bedside teaching and clinical demonstrations to nursing students and trainees.
- Conduct orientation and continuous education programs for newly joined and existing nursing staff.
- Supervise and assess student nurses during clinical postings in wards, ICUs, OPDs, and specialty units.
- Prepare and implement clinical teaching plans and schedules in coordination with nursing schools or colleges.
- Evaluate the performance, competencies, and skills of nursing students and report progress to academic coordinators.
- Facilitate training in hospital protocols, infection control, emergency procedures, and documentation practices.
- Act as a liaison between the hospital and affiliated nursing colleges for scheduling and managing student internships.
- Ensure that nursing training aligns with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Maintain training records, feedback reports, and attendance logs of students and nursing staff.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement activities, and accreditation processes involving nursing education.
