Media Buyer Purpose
The purpose of the Media Buyer role at WDM Agency is first and foremost to be rock-solid in managing the day-to-day of client ad accounts & making data-based decisions that drive revenue for our E-commerce brands.
As a media buyer, you take pride in doing all the little things correctly & have evidence to prove your reliability & trustworthiness. Managing tens of thousands of dollars per month of someone else’s capital means it is your duty to pay immense attention to detail with every action you take & embody the utmost respect for our clients.
You are also on the front line of all things data for clients. This means you as the Media Buyer need to be accountable & take initiative in analysing, interpreting and reporting that data with the team in order for all of us to make more informed & better decisions, faster.
Your active purpose at WDM Agency is to work alongside our Strategist & Creative Team to manage & move quickly in ad accounts to get ad lives, follow our media buying systems & frameworks to make smart decisions, and analyse & report data to ensure our clients are hitting KPI month over month.
Media Buyer Primary Roles
Onboarding
Performing quality checks on Meta Business Managers
Researching NEW client accounts to find the top-performing ads based on our ad account analysis research guide
Learning and Embracing the WDM Agency Media Buying Structure
Ongoing
Create & set dynamic creative tests weekly following the guidance of the creative team
Understand client KPIs to scale budgets up & down following the WDM Agency Scaling Methodology
Attend weekly team calls to communicate directly with the creative team & strategist on ad account performance
Complete weekly & monthly data reports
Leverage attribution tools & senior strategists for smart decision-making
Communicate with the team daily on performance
Share any ad concepts or ideas based on data interpretation
Download and upload client organic content from social platforms
Watch the client call recordings from Monthly team calls
Qualifications & Character Traits
Direct Experience Qualifications
Setting up & launching Meta Ads for Shopify businesses
Managing ad accounts spending above $500 per day
Setting up & troubleshooting tracking for Meta Ads
Analyzing data & providing reports to a team
Working in a team environment & understanding individual roles

Hours
Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm AEST
Weekends: 1–3 hours per day to check accounts
