JOB DESCRIPTION
Roles & Responsibilities
Designing plumbing systems for new construction projects such as residential homes and commercial buildings
- Performing inspections to ensure that building plans meet local codes and regulations
- Preparing estimates for costs related to the project and developing a budget for the client
- Coordinating the work of other engineers and architects on large projects
- Consulting with clients about their needs and providing them with advice about how to address them
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal building codes for plumbing systems in all types of buildings
- Developing and maintaining a database of drawings and specifications of plumbing systems and structures
- Providing technical support to contractors during construction projects
- Supervising the installation of plumbing systems, including fixtures, piping, and wiring
