B2B Market Research Analyst / Associate Key Responsibilities:
1. Industry and Market Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research on target industries (e.g., cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare).
- Track market trends, competitor strategies, customer behavior, and regulatory shifts.
2. Ideal Customer Profiling (ICP)
- Identify and define buyer personas (CISOs, CTOs, Founders, etc.).
- Segment the market based on company size, geography, and technology maturity.
3. Competitor Intelligence
- Analyze offerings, pricing, positioning, and USPs of direct and indirect competitors.
- Benchmark performance and uncover gaps in market coverage.
4. Lead Identification
- Research and identify high-potential leads based on predefined ICP criteria.
- Use platforms like LinkedIn, Apollo.io, Crunchbase, ZoomInfo, etc.
5. Data Collection & Reporting
- Gather data from primary (interviews, surveys) and secondary (reports, databases) sources.
- Prepare concise research briefs, dashboards, or presentations for internal teams.
6. Support Sales & Demand Generation
- Share market insights to help refine outreach strategy and content.
- Support campaign targeting and messaging decisions with data-backed inputs.
7. Monitor Emerging Trends
- Stay updated on evolving technologies, challenges, and innovations relevant to B2B customers.
- Track funding activities, mergers, and new entrants in key sectors.
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS or cybersecurity markets (preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and research tools like SimilarWeb, SEMrush, etc.
- Basic knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce)
