Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate with 0-2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in evaluating and assessing Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), conducting thorough due diligence, and preparing due diligence reports. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Due Diligence and Research:
o Conduct in-depth due diligence on AIFs, including legal, and operational aspects.
o Review and analyze fund structures, investment strategies, performance metrics, and compliance documentation.
o Assess risk factors, governance frameworks, and adherence to regulatory requirements
o Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and key recommendations for internal and client review.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Review:
o Evaluate the fund’s compliance with SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) regulations and other applicable laws.
o Ensure alignment with organizational and industry standards during the evaluation process.
3. Stakeholder Communication:
o Communicate effectively with Clients, fund managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
o Present findings and insights clearly and professionally to internal teams and clients.
4. Market Awareness:
o Stay updated on the latest trends and regulatory changes in the AIF sector.
o Conduct benchmarking analyses to compare fund performance with industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Experience: Fresher to 1-2 years in Law
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
