An HK (Housekeeping) Assistant's job is to assist the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness and order throughout a hotel or facility, including guest rooms and public areas. Cleaning and Sanitization: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and sanitizing surfaces in guest rooms and public areas.
Room Maintenance: Making beds, changing linens, restocking toiletries, and cleaning bathrooms.
Supply Management: Stocking and organizing housekeeping supplies, such as cleaning chemicals, towels, and linens.
Guest Services: Delivering items on loan, handling guest requests, and ensuring guest security and privacy.
Reporting: Identifying and reporting maintenance defects or issues.
Equipment Handling: Using and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools effectively and safely.
Public Area Maintenance: Cleaning lobbies, hallways, and other public areas.
Laundry and Dry Cleaning: Collecting and returning guest laundry and dry cleaning.
