Job Summary:
The Fire Fighting Protection Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, testing, and inspection of fire protection and firefighting systems in alignment with local fire codes, NFPA standards, and project specifications. This role ensures that all fire protection systems are effectively integrated into the MEP infrastructure, maintaining safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review, and implement fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, extinguishers, and suppression systems.
- Review technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for firefighting systems using AutoCAD or BIM software.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, IS codes, and local authority requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams to integrate firefighting systems seamlessly.
- Conduct site surveys, installation supervision, and quality checks on firefighting equipment and pipelines.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local fire authorities for approvals and inspections.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as material submittals, method statements, and testing reports.
- Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and handover of fire protection systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and resolve any fire system-related issues during and post-construction.
Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, suppression systems, etc.).
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards, local fire codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and fire hydraulic calculation software.
- Strong project coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under tight schedules and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Fire Engineering or equivalent.
- Diploma or certification in Fire & Safety Engineering is an added advantage.
- Minimum [3-5 years] of relevant experience in fire protection within MEP projects.
- Familiarity with international fire protection standards (NFPA, FM Global, etc.).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per year
