Key Responsibilities:
Interpret, Define and derive EMI/EMC requirements for electronic hardware based on system-level requirements, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461/464.
Perform EMC analysis, simulation, and design reviews during the development lifecycle.
Prepare and review EMI/EMC test plans, procedures, and qualification documentation
Coordinate with test labs for execution.
Perform or support the execution of EMI/EMC tests, such as:
- Conducted Emissions (CE101, CE102)
- Radiated Emissions (RE101, RE102)
- Conducted Susceptibility (CS101, CS114, CS115, CS116)
- Radiated Susceptibility (RS101, RS103)
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD - DO-160 Sec 25)
- Lightning Induced Transients (DO-160 Sec 22)
- Voltage Spike (DO-160 Sec 17)
- Conducted RF and Bulk Cable Injection (DO-160 Sec 20)
- Magnetic Effect (DO-160 Sec 15)
- Power Input Transients and Ripple (DO-160 Sec 16)
Conduct pre-compliance testing and support formal qualification testing per DO-160 and military standards.
Provide mitigation strategies for EMI issues such as filtering, shielding, grounding, and layout modifications
Document test results, deviations, and corrective actions in line with aerospace documentation practices.
Interface with internal teams and customers to present EMC test results and support certification activities
Required Qualifications
Prior experience with EMI/EMC qualification for aerospace systems.
Experience with avionics systems, aerospace harness design, and aircraft integration.
Proficiency with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, LISNs, antennas, and transient generators
Experience in EMC root cause analysis and design countermeasures.
