Key Responsibilities: Editor & Cinematographer (One-Person Role)
- Visual Planning & Storyboarding:
- Communicate with clients, directors, or teams to incorporate feedback and bring the vision to life from pre-production to post.
- Collaborate with the director/client to conceptualize the visual style and narrative flow of the project.
- Develop shot lists and storyboards as needed.
- Cinematography & Camera Operation:
- Set up and operate cameras, lenses, and rigs for capturing high-quality footage.
- Frame and compose shots creatively, using camera movement and angles to enhance storytelling.
- Lighting Setup:
- Design and execute lighting setups appropriate for the mood, tone, and setting of each scene.
- Use natural or artificial light to achieve consistent and cinematic results.
- On-Set Technical Management:
- Handle camera settings, focus, exposure, and white balance.
- Monitor visual and audio quality during shoots and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Video Editing:
- Edit raw footage into cohesive stories using professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Apply transitions, titles, and effects to enhance the visual impact.
- Color Grading & Correction:
- Perform color correction and grading to maintain visual consistency and stylize footage as required.
- Sound Design & Syncing:
- Edit and sync audio, remove unwanted noise, and add sound effects or background music.
- Motion Graphics (Basic):
- Create or integrate simple animations, intros, and on-screen text as needed.
- Project Management & Delivery:
- Organize and back up files, manage timelines, and ensure final delivery meets client expectations.
- Export videos in appropriate formats for different platforms (social media, broadcast, web, etc.).
