Key Responsibilities
1. Driving & Delivery
Safely operate company delivery vehicle for dispatch of bakery items.
Plan and follow assigned delivery routes efficiently.
Ensure timely deliveries as per schedule.
Verify delivery addresses and customer orders before dispatch.
2. Product Handling & Quality
Load and unload bakery items carefully to avoid damage.
Maintain proper handling to preserve freshness and hygiene.
Follow food safety and handling guidelines.
3. Documentation & Records
Maintain delivery logs, trip sheets, and mileage records.
Collect delivery acknowledgements or signatures from recipients.
Report delivery completion and return any undelivered items to dispatch center.
4. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good running condition.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections (brakes, lights, tires, etc.).
Immediately report any vehicle issues or accidents to the supervisor.
5. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with the dispatch team for route updates or urgent deliveries.
Communicate delays, traffic issues, or customer concerns promptly.
Maintain professional behavior with customers and staff.
6. Compliance
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
Valid driving license (LMV/Commercial as per requirement).
Knowledge of local routes and traffic rules.
Ability to handle perishable food products.
Basic communication and record-keeping skills.
Punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.
