English Reading & Writing Tutor for 7-10 Year Old Child (Kumon-Style Program)
Location: Remote (Online sessions via Zoom or similar)
Schedule: 3–5 sessions per week

About the Role
We are seeking a patient, creative, and experienced English Reading and Writing Tutor to support kids in developing core literacy skills. The program should follow a structured, progressive approach similar to Kumon, focusing on phonics, reading fluency, handwriting, comprehension, and storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons 3–5 times a week.
- Build a tailored curriculum that includes:
- Phonics and sight word development
- Guided and independent reading with comprehension
- Handwriting and sentence-building exercises
- Story narration, retelling, and creative writing
- Provide printable or digital worksheets, flashcards, and reading materials.
- Monitor progress weekly and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Use interactive tools (whiteboard, games, story cards) to make learning fun and effective.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English to young children (ages 6–8)
- Familiarity with structured programs like Kumon, Jolly Phonics, or similar
- Strong storytelling and reading instruction skills
- Ability to create or adapt teaching materials (printables, readers, handwriting worksheets)
- Excellent communication and a child-friendly, encouraging teaching style
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent (preferred)
Bonus if you have:
- Experience teaching ESL/ELL learners
- Creative arts or drawing/storytelling skills
- Ability to provide progress reports and assessments
