Rasha Bowl is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Restaurant Captain to lead our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will be a charismatic leader who can ensure flawless service, manage staff, and create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for overseeing the dining area, from greeting and seating guests to coordinating with the kitchen and handling any issues that arise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the service team (waiters/waitresses, bussers) to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
- Greet guests, manage reservations, and seat diners in the appropriate sections.
- Present menus, assist guests with their selections, and provide detailed information about dishes, ingredients, and wine pairings.
- Take and accurately process food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure every guest is attended to promptly and their needs are met.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues quickly and professionally, maintaining a positive restaurant image.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to brief the team on daily specials, reservations, and service standards.
- Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the team.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
- Process payments, manage cash and credit card transactions, and handle end-of-shift reports.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain, Head Waiter, or in a similar supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, including different cuisines, wines, and cocktail preparation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and managing reservations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is a plus.
