Associate (Advocate)

Metalegal Advocates is looking to engage and retain an Associate (Advocate) for its practice in economic offences, tax litigation, and advisory.

The role would primarily involve:

• Advising clients on matters pertaining to economic offences and tax laws;
  
• Providing legal counsel on related issues across litigation and advisory contexts;
  
• Drafting petitions, applications, replies, rejoinders, legal advisories, memos, appeals and similar court and other documents;
  
• Managing extensive case documentation with a professional approach, along with quick adaptability to work on digital tools such as Zoho and Microsoft Teams;
  
• Supporting clients through litigation, investigations, quasi-judicial proceedings, and/or general legal advisory matters;
  
• Conducting legal research and handling court filing logistics in coordination with clerks and support staff;
  
• Contributing to the firm's knowledge database through case law compilations, statute summaries, white papers, etc.

Opportunities to appear before judicial and quasi-judicial forums may arise from time to time, depending on the matter and the candidate's understanding of it. However, appearances will generally be very limited until completion of at least one year of experience at the firm.

New Delhi, our office is situated in Jangpura.

Requirements

The candidate must be a qualified advocate (LL.B.), enrolled with the Bar Council of India, and possess a minimum PQE of 1 year.
